For Best Results Before and After Care
Before Treatment Guidelines
Drink plenty of water and avoid alcohol before and after your service. Cavitation will be best performed under high hydration conditions, avoid taking any caffeine or diuretics 2 days before therapy. Drinking a lot of water will help to improve your metabolism and increase urine output.
It is helpful to shower before your treatment. You may want to bring extra underwear to change into following your treatment.
Try to avoid doing anything that will irritate your skin immediately before treatment. This includes tanning. However, an established tan is fine. Please avoid tanning or sunning on the day of scheduled treatments. No treatment will be applied to sunburned skin.
You will be asked to remove all jewelry before each treatment.
We ask that you update us if there are any changes made to your medications or health history during your treatment program.
Treatments will be suspended if there is a possibility of pregnancy.
You will be required to drink 8 glasses of water daily during your treatment program, this is necessary to flush fats and toxins that will be releasing out of your cells following your treatments.
A sensible diet and exercise are also recommended.
The Body Wrap will help make your treatments even more effective!
After Treatment Guidelines
NO carbonated, sparkling water, pop, or coffee before and after the session. Drinking plenty of water and having exercise such as brisk walk, biking or other aerobic activities for at least 3 days after the treatment to stimulate the lymphatic activity as elimination of the fat continues via the lymph system.
Try and increase your heart rate by taking some exercise for the best results .Use our complimentary vibration platform to increase blood and lymphatic circulation.
Do not have a hot shower, bath or sauna right after the Ultrasound treatment.
A lymph-draining massage is also encouraged to improve the circulation and lymphatic system, which helps to drain fluids.
Physical stimulation can help with fluid movement, especially when the areas are near lymph nodes.
Self-massage on the area treated will be beneficial, for the fat cells that can possibly be stagnant.
For best results, you should refrain from any alcohol consumption for 48 hours after the treatment. Alcohol consumption during this time may put added stress on your liver because it's already working on removing the deactivated fat cells from your body
Contraindications
People who are generally healthy are safe to have the treatment.
It is not advisable for those who just tanned outside or went to a tanning bed. When you have a tan, there is a risk for your skin to be more sensitive due to the UV damage it has received due to tanning. It is possible for your skin to react negatively to the procedure because it is already sensitive. Note that spray tans and self-tans don’t cause UV damage.
Extreme sensitivity or allergic reactions in the treated area
Acute illness
Epilepsy
Abnormal immune system
Presence of metallic prosthesis
Acute inflammatory processes
Tumors or cancer
Cutaneous lesions
Proximity of the organs and the bone marrow
non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs or aspirin 10 days before the session.
Severe bleeding tendencies
Liver or kidney problems. With ultrasonic cavitation, the fats are liquified and would be released from the fat cells. It is now the job of the lymphatic system and urinary system to excrete them from the body. If you have any problems with those excretory systems, then it could be challenging for the body to remove them.
Reynaud’s disease, Hypoproteinemia
Numb or insensitive to heat
Frostbiteintolerance
Thyroid Problems
Severe diabetes uncontrolled
Cardiovascular or cerebral diseases, Heart conditions The fats released due to the procedure can increase the triglycerides in the body and it can have a negative effect on those who already have heart problems.
Hemorrhagic disease, clotting or bleeding
Pacemaker carriers The ultrasound may also affect pacemakers so for safety reasons, it is advised against those who have them.
Persons with metal plates or joint implants, Sites of prior cosmetic surgery
Pregnant or lactating women shouldn’t undergo Ultrasonic Cavitation. Their hormones aren’t stable due to the changes in their body so it is advised to wait after lactation before they go through ultrasonic cavitation.
Similarly, teens aren’t also advised to go through this procedure as their hormone levels are still fluctuating due to puberty. Their bodies are still maturing so it is best to reserve this procedure at a later time.
Intoxication or under the influence of alcohol or drugs
Side Effects Of Ultrasonic Cavitation
Short Term Redness
In some cases, patients can experience skin redness due to the treatment procedure. The cause of this is varied and it doesn’t happen often. With this procedure, a gel substance is spread over the area of treatment to help the machine head glide smoothly over the skin.
Some may be irritated by it but most are not. Also, if the skin is already sensitive, it is more likely to produce this reaction.
Although redness can occur, it is not permanent. The skin usually goes back to normal after about 4-5 hours. There is no need to treat the area with any medication. You just need to give it time.
Mild Bruising
Another skin reaction that could happen would be mild bruising. Even if it doesn’t cause pain or damage to the skin, the ultrasonic energy can still disturb the epidermis. It is possible that the reaction to the disturbance is mild bruising.
Just like redness, this mild bruising is also temporary and typically goes away in a day or two.
Skin Sensitivity
There is also a possibility for skin sensitivity to be experienced. Patients can feel itchy around the area. There may also be a bit of swelling or little bumps.
However, this is also a temporary side effect. With time, this will go away on its own.
Extreme Thirst
Some patients also report experiencing extreme thirst while some didn’t. With ultrasonic cavitation, you have to remember to keep yourself hydrated. Water is essential before and after the procedure because it helps the body to remove the toxins and fats released.
The reason why you might feel extremely thirsty is that your body needs water to flush out all the toxins and fat.
